This class has definitely opened my eyes regarding my surroundings. I have learned about the bias in our media and how to avoid it and not be sucked in by it. I've learned what is needed to make an ad eye catching and unique. My social skills and how to lure people in has also improved. Learning how to be creative and creating my own advertisements has made me think of a potential career in advertising. This was a very informative class and am very glad for taking it.

Week 15
Toblerone Advertisement
The three different media outlets we chose was instagram, vine, and facebook.
On instagram the audience was told to capture a picture that showed their holiday moment with the chocolate. They could be sharing the chocolate, cooking with it, or whatever the audience likes. Then they have to upload the picture and use the hashtag #mytobleronemoment.
On vine, the audience has to create a video that showed their holiday moment with the chocolate and share it using the same hashtag.
On facebook we would have the audience like our page and upload a picture and similarly as instagram show their holiday moment
Week 14
As long as I can remember I have been seeing advertisements on TV, but seeing it on the internet is fairly new. At first viewers could watch their videos on youtube with out ads. Now before videos you have to watch about 15 seconds of an ad before you can skip it.
Interruptive advertisement is used because the consumer ha no way of avoiding it unless they stop watching or listening to what they were doing.
The place I hate interruptive advertisements the most has to be on Pandora. There is no way you can skip it and have to listen to the entire ad.
Week 13
The Bug Vacuum
The way my group came up with an advertisement for the radio and television were quiet similar. The commercial starts with what sound like a women's scream coming from the bathroom. Then we see a women whose probably in her 30's run to the bathroom to find her husband screaming at a bug in the tub. He tells his wife he cant shower and cant get ready to go to her mothers party because there is a giant bug in the tub. The wife grabs the bug vacuum and uses it to get rid of the bug. After she tells her husband to get ready and stop complaining.
Week 12
In todays society for an to be remembered and noticed, it has to be innovative and out of the ordinary.
This advertisement is for hair products. By being so out of the ordinary and unique, it will catch the audiences eye and make them remember the product.
This advertisement is definitely something the audience will remember because it will make the audience laugh and remember their childhood show Tom & Jerry.
Not only does this ad has a weird way of sexual appeal to it, it also makes the audience giggle and remember the product.
With so many advertisement and products around, advertisers have to be unique and innovative to make their targeted audience remember their product.
Week 11
The Typewriter
In order to create an ad for a typewriter geared towards college students can be tough. The three media outlets chosen was the radio, the television, and Times magazine.
The radio ad would remind the audience of the simpler time where we didn't have to deal with a computer freezing or deleting your work by accident. We'd inform the audience of the simplicity the typewriter could bring a college student.
The television ad would be on Turners Classic Movies. This channel plays old movies and has a nostalgic feel to it. The audience would want to have a part of the past. Even if its a simple typewriter.
The Time magazine ad would be simple picture of a typewriter and have a slogan that says: "Remember Simplicity?"
By creating a nostalgic feel to help the audience of the modern world connect with a typewriter is the way to sell the product.
